About our concrete contractor company in Kingman
Who we are, how we plan and pour a slab, and what happens after you call us.
How a city crew shaped our concrete work
Thank you for taking a look at who we are. I learned concrete on a municipal crew, pouring curbs, walks and slabs for the city, and in 2020 I started Kingman Concrete Company here in Kingman. Public work taught me to plan a pour carefully and to check it the same way, because people judge a slab years after it's poured.
That's why I care most about the parts you can't see once we're gone: the subgrade, which is the packed ground your slab sits on, the control joints we cut so the normal shrinking cracks run where we choose, and the curing, the days a slab needs to harden before it takes weight. Around Kingman that care matters, since the monsoon storms of July, August and September can drop heavy rain in a short time, and your slab has to send that water away from the house. We pour for homeowners, small business owners and people building new on their own land, and I'd rather plan a job properly than rush it.

What you get when we pour your concrete
These are the things you'll notice working with us, from the first visit to the day you walk on your new driveway or patio. Each one comes from how I was trained on the city crew.
Your job is planned and checked like public work
On the city crew every pour was planned ahead and checked afterward, and I run your job the same way. Our own crew does the prep, forming, pouring and finishing, I'm on site running the work, and we're licensed and fully insured.
You know the plan before concrete is ordered
We settle the ground prep, the pour day and the permit office with you before any concrete is ordered, so the day of the pour holds no surprises. If the budget gets tight, we'd rather trim the finish than the base, because a fancy surface on poorly packed dirt settles and cracks with it.
Plain talk about cracks
Concrete shrinks as it dries, so a few fine cracks are normal, and we tell you that up front so you can judge our work fairly. What you shouldn't get is a slab that sinks, tips toward your house or cracks wherever it likes, and that's what the base and the joints are for.
What working with us looks like, step by step
Here's how a job runs from your first call to the finished concrete, so you know who you'll talk to and what we settle with you before anything is poured.
- Step 01
Call or send the form
Call us at (928) 391-0060 or use the form on our contact page, and we'll reply within one business day. Tell us roughly what you have in mind, whether it's a driveway, a patio or a slab, and where the job is.
- Step 02
Walk the job with me
I come out myself to look at the ground, where the water runs and how the slab should fall away from the house. The estimate is free, done on site, and you're under no obligation to go ahead.
- Step 03
Set the plan, then pour
We look up whether the City of Kingman or Mohave County covers your address, handle the permit application when the job needs one, and set the pour date. Then our crew preps, forms, pours and finishes, and we explain how to treat the slab while it cures.
