Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Kingman Concrete Company website and any work you ask us to quote or do. When you browse the home page, fill out our form, call us or sign an estimate, you're agreeing to them, so please read them before you hire us.
If a signed estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the signed document wins for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site and let us know before we start any work.
What we do
Kingman Concrete Company is a concrete contractor based in Kingman, AZ. We pour and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, steps, pool decks, retaining walls, footings and slab foundations, and we do decorative, stamped and cutting work. You can read more about our crew on the about page.
What's on this site is general information about the trade and our services. It isn't a promise about your particular job, because every slab depends on the ground under it, the drainage around it and what you plan to put on it. Your estimate is where we set out what we'll actually do.
Estimates and pricing
Estimates are free, done on site and carry no obligation. The price on your estimate covers the work it describes, and it's good for the period written on it.
Concrete prices move with the size of the slab, its thickness, how much digging and base work the subgrade needs, which is the ground the slab sits on, the finish you pick and how easy it is to get a truck to the spot. If we find something once the old slab is out or the ground is open, like soft or wet soil, buried debris or roots, we'll stop, show you and agree on any change in writing before we keep going.
We won't add charges you haven't approved. If you ask for extra work or a change partway through, we'll price it and get your okay first.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We'll give you a start date when you accept the estimate, but concrete depends on the weather, so dates can move. We don't pour in rain, in freezing conditions or in heat that would weaken the surface, because a pour in the wrong conditions cracks and dusts later, and that costs you more than a short wait.
New concrete needs time to cure, which means sitting undisturbed while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when you can drive on it, and following that guidance is your part of the job.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us at (928) 391-0060 as soon as you can. Once materials are ordered, the forms are set or the concrete is scheduled, your estimate or contract says what you owe for work done and costs we can't get back.
Payment
Your estimate or contract sets out any deposit, when payments are due and the ways you can pay. The balance is due when the work is done as described, unless your contract says otherwise.
If a payment is late, we may pause remaining work until it's settled, and we keep any rights the law gives contractors to collect for finished work.
Warranty and what concrete does
Any warranty on your job is the one written in your estimate or contract. Outside of that, and as far as the law allows, we don't make other promises, spoken or implied, about the site or the work.
Concrete shrinks as it dries, so small hairline cracks are normal and aren't a defect. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack in a straight line instead of across the middle, but no contractor can promise a slab that never cracks.
We're not responsible for damage caused by things outside our work, such as soil movement, roots, water from gutters or sprinklers, heavier loads than the slab was built for, deicing salts or someone driving on the slab before it's cured.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured, and we'll take care of problems our work causes. As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for any job is limited to what you paid us for that job, and we aren't responsible for indirect losses such as lost use, lost income or inconvenience.
Before we dig, you need to tell us about anything buried on your property that we wouldn't know about, like private water lines, sprinkler lines, septic parts or low-voltage wiring. We aren't responsible for damage to lines we weren't told about and couldn't reasonably see.
If something goes wrong
Tell us first, because most problems get settled with a visit and a straight conversation. Call (928) 391-0060 or reach us through the contact page, and we'll come look at it.
If we can't work it out between us, we both agree to try mediation in good faith before anyone goes to court. Any lawsuit has to be brought in the state or federal courts that serve Kingman, Arizona.
Which law applies
These terms and any work we do are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. That holds even for jobs in the cities we serve across the state line, unless a law where the work is done says otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page from time to time, and the newest version is the one posted here. Changes don't affect a job you've already signed for, which stays under the terms you agreed to.
If you have questions about any of this, get in touch through the contact page and we'll explain it.
